This upcoming Sunday 20th June, we will be celebrating Father's Day. The day is held on various dates across the world but here in the UK it is commonly celebrated on the third Sunday of June. Father's Day is a holiday honouring fatherhood and the influence of fathers in society. The holiday was first found by Sonora Smart Dodd, the daughter of an American Civil War veteran, who felt strongly that fatherhood needed more recognition and thus established the day of honour for fathers in the month of June, which was her father's birthday month.
