Delighted for Augustine Jewels to be in this Sunday's Guardian Newspaper . Here is the article about our pop up shop which will be this Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and Saturday 8th at 328 King's Road, London SW3 5UH from 10am to 6pm. Please come along !

Pop-up gems

Retail is popping up all over London. This new trend of the ephemeral shop has a spontaneity and cachet that permanent retail outlets cannot hope for. The pop up shop typically lasts between two and three days; it will be in a trendy area of London (King's Road or Notting Hill), the merchandise will be upmarket, and high society will make an effort to get and be seen there.

Venturing into her first pop up is the beautiful and brainy Alexandra Robson from Augustine Jewels. A former student from Paris'Ecole de Mode and Cambridge University, Alexandra cut her teeth at Accenture as a Partner and Global Head of Consumer Goods and Retail Relations and has since re-trained at the Gemalogical Institute of America; now she holds the top accreditation for identifying the quality of diamonds and other gems.

Augustine Jewels is a two-year-old company operating out of the original C19th premises of The Silver Studio. 40% of Augustine's business is bespoke designs for "important" birthday presents or engagement rings. Whether you want a statement piece or an investment piece, Alexandra will guide you to the right stone and English craftsman to make it. The price for statement and investment might be the same, but the size and certification of the diamond will be different; you need an expert to see and show you the difference.

The other 60% of Augustine's business is ready to wear. Alexandra's designs are inspired by her travels to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico and Paris. Her next stop is Venice, for a bridal collection prompted by George Clooney's recent wedding; she wants to design a tiara for a bride.
